Another site seed that opens a window to wonder. What do you see? What lies beyond?

Further down the road, maybe a half-mile from the last house is what can only be described as devastation. The trees lay on one another like many rows of dominos, all facing the same way. There is no green here, only shades of tan and brown on both sides of the pavement. No birds sing and the stillness has an unsettling quality, like it is waiting for another blow. Then, after another mile or two, the forests are whole again and a farm with green pastures sits further on.

The children knew better and began salvaging the wreckage for anything usable. They snatched a piece of scrap metal here, and scavenged some rubber tubing there. Like army ants they dissected the framed carcass for anything that could be consumed.

The tempest grew on the horizon. Inwardly, the captain sighed. On some occasions, it just felt like it was so much easier back when he was commandeering a spaceship, rather than just a ship. But he had to get with the times. This was the Renaissance, and the mere idea of a ship flying into space was ludicrous. He took a deep breath. Things were going to be okay. The era of spaceships would eventually return.

Viewed from space, the massive hurricane almost appeared stationary, but Allan had endured many similar storms during his youth -- he knew better. Slowly the clouds grew until they became an endless floor of white. He gripped his chair and spoke through gritted teeth: "I can't believe we're doing this!" Lighting lit up the flight deck.
"Its the perfect thing to mask our descent!" Bryn managed to reply before all Allan could hear was the banshee howl of the wind.

Nala struggled against the chains, but no matter how hard she strained they didn't budge. The Inquisitor sneered as he spoke. "Why do you fight so, if you have nothing to hide?" The sun had just set and her skin had already begun to tingle.
"Its not what you think!" she spat.

Yuri grimaced. "It feels like ice!" He tried to sit up, but Rin's firm hand pushed him back down.
"Stay still!" Rin admonished.
"Just give me a second!" Kayla hissed.

"Rhin, young and enthusiastic Rhin, rests dead in Elhu's arms. The humans killed him.
"Elhu, you can't bring him back. Lament the dead and move on."
Her eyes regarded them coldly. "I'll feel no sorrow while those humans dream. They shall regret this day!" Elhu sings a terrible song, one of tireless retribution, one of hatred, death and spite. The protectors recoil in shock and fear.
"She is Lost! Leave her."
