The sea was green...her eyes were the color of the water. He'd never seen her in life, but she'd haunted his dreams and empty waiting moments. She was a memory he couldn't fully recall. The rhythmic beat of footsteps overpowered the constant surf and shattered his reverie. He turned to meet the chic recruiter.
The man pulled off his sunglasses and slipped them into the pocket of his silk shirt. "Mr. Reias, enjoying your stay?"
He passed his hand through his hair and shrugged. "Yea."
"Have you given any more thought to the offer?"

"I don't see anything Aryia! Let's go!" the young boy whined.
"Shhh! Get down," Aryia scolded and tugged her brother to his knees. The small bush just hid the two of them. "The moon has to be out," she whispered. And as if on cue, the moon cleared the bank of clouds; silver blue radiance illuminated the field of wild grass before them. Aryia heard a sharp intake of breath. She didn't need to ask if her brother saw the approaching figure.
The elf wore a dress as pale and light as a spider web, her skin was the color of cream, and her hair was the same color as the moonlight. Her dress and hair flowed behind her like water as she drew closer.

The earth rose up and slowly took on the shape of a man; arms, legs, torso, and a head -- all made from dirt and stone. It had no face, but where the elemental's eyes should have been two bright sapphire stars blazed. Sound escaped the being as it slowly twisted its body to survey the surroundings. Low and grinding, the sound was the voice of an earthquake that vibrated in the shaman's bones and set his stomach on edge.
