The gray cliff loomed over her and waves thundered behind. The sea pounded against vertical granite cliffs all along the coast, but they'd managed to find a small beach of broken stone. It was near their target and secluded, and that made it an opportune spot to make landfall. The cliff face was only a minor obstacle -- she'd climbed worse. Genre: Fantasy, Pulp |

"Thirteen to two? Not the best odds Rem!" He felt the man pressed to his back shake his head.
"Not at all, Theo!"
"Perhaps they'll yield?" Theo eyed the guardsmen that he could see in front of him and gestured with his rapier. "Well what d'ya say?"
The captain growled and actually took a step closer. "Quit stalling and throw down the swords!"
"Doesn't sound like they're going to yield Theo. So the question is: do you want six or seven?" Genre: Fantasy, Action |

The twelve stood on the cliff and looked down upon the damage that the storm had wrought. The ship was in ruin - the wind and the rocks had snapped the keel in two places. Carter exhaled long and steady as the door to the chamber sealed and disappeared - he floated alone and free in a vast spherical vault of ivory. The HUD of his suit claimed his heart rate was one hundred five - excited but acceptable. Carter commanded the maneuvering jets to take him towards the only thing in the kilometer wide chamber. The vault was built for the Entity; a perfectly black sphere six meters in diameter. Carter closed the distance, and the Entity's ink black surface began to ripple and spike.
