I have this lich lord, in my current campaign (DnD 4e) that is a recurring villian (liches work great for that!), who's going to appear a total of 6 times, each time more powerful and angry until they finally destroy his phyllactery at ~lvl 10. I'm lost on trying to figure out a good personality for him to bring some interest into the game. I don't want the stereotypical "I'm evil and big and f you." personality, but I don't want to have to stretch too far to try to make it work. Any ideas?

For real fun make on the of the character's the liches desendent so he has a reason to let them get away alive when he has the upper hand, as well of endless opprotunties for the great great grandpa to go on about what a disapointment they are and how they are letting the whole family down.
